Más allá del límite de 1995 es la reedición de una serie anterior emitida entre 1963 y 1965. En 1995, tras el éxito de las secuelas de Star Trek o Babylon 5, Metro Goldwyn Mayer (poseedora de los derechos) decidió relanzar la serie, teniendo como productores consultivos a Stefano y Stevens. A diferencia de la serie original, en la cual en cada episodio aparecía un monstruo o ser extraño, en la reedición de los años 90 se evitó esta idea de "el monstruo de la semana" y sus argumentos se basaban en posibles descubrimientos científicos y su efecto en la humanidad. En España sólo se tradujeron las cuatro primeras temporadas. No le ocurre nada a su televisor. No intente ajustar la imagen. Ahora somos nosotros quienes controlamos la transmisión. Controlamos la horizontalidad y la verticalidad. Podemos abrumarle con miles de canales o hacer que una simple imagen alcance una claridad cristalina, y aún más.
