Tru Davies empieza a trabajar en la morgue de la ciudad por haberse cancelado el puesto que tenia en un hospital. Al necesitar las practicas para poder ingresar a la escuela de medicina acepta el trabajo en la morgue, no muy convencida al principio. Sin embargo, al pasar los días y sentir 'la llamada' o ayuda que algún muerto le pide, comienza a revivir el día anterior, pudiendo así, evitar que esa persona muera. Sin embargo, a medida que pasan capítulos, Tru descubre que no todo es tan simple.
