Una historia donde dos jovenes mujeres, deben buscar un tercer compañero de piso, puesto que les queda un hueco vacio para poder cumplir con el pago del alquiler. Sin esperarlo, encontraran a Jack Tripper, un futuro cocinero que parece ser el compañero ideal, aunque antes de aceptarlo, deberan convencer al casero, quien tendra que ver a Jack como homosexual.
