Tras el paso del huracán Eve por Homestead, una pequeña localidad de Florida rodeada de selvas y pantanos, nada en el pueblo volverá a ser igual. Allí viven dos familias relacionadas entre sí por divorcios y matrimonios: los Underlay (Tom y Mariel) y los Varon (Russell y Larkin). Tras el huracán, se producen una serie de fenómenos paranormales de ininmaginables consecuencias.
