1986 год. В районе правительственных дач на Рублевском шоссе одного за другим убивают подростков. Интеллигентный следователь Валерий Козырев, его дерзкий напарник из Ростова Евгений Боков и совсем молодая следователь Наталья Добровольская начинают расследование, даже не подозревая, как сильно оно изменит судьбу каждого из них. Единственный свидетель, способный опознать маньяка, — школьник Игорь, родители которого совсем не в восторге от контактов сына с милицией.
