На глубине 500 футов под поверхностью океана, американская атомная подводная лодка «Колорадо» получает приказ по радиоканалу, предназначенному для использования только в том случае, если их родина находится под угрозой уничтожения. Им приказывают нанести ядерный удар по Пакистану.
