Легендарный «суперкоп» из Шанхая Саммо Ло приезжает в Лос-Анджелес и поступает на работу в полицию. Он разыскивает китайского мафиози по имени Ли Хей. В Лос-Анджелесе он знакомится со своими будущими друзьями-напарниками Даной Дойл и Льюисом МакГреем. Нельзя сказать, чтобы Саммо сразу понравился им.
