Ballykissangel is a BBC television drama set in Ireland, produced in-house by BBC Northern Ireland. The original story revolved around a young English Roman Catholic priest as he became part of a rural community. It ran for six series, which were first broadcast on BBC One in the United Kingdom from 1996 to 2001.

    Overview: Everyone's Christmas plans fall apart when Padraig's son, Kevin, gets trapped down a mine shaft. Peter has been landed with Timmy, Father Mac's nephew, who is soon to be ordained. Meanwhile Brian is doing everything in his power to avoid spending time with Ambrose's mother. Ambrose makes an important find and Kevin is rescued after a search party is organised. There is still a fatality though - Timmy 'kills' Peter's beloved classic car.
