Karma und Amy sind ganz normale Schüler einer Amerikanischen Highschool. Doch die beiden möchten gerne beliebter sein. Bei einer Party zu der sie eingeladen werden, denkt der Gastgeber die besten Freundinnen sind ein lesbisches Paar. Bald darauf denkt es die ganze Schule und beide werden zum Traumpaar der Schule ernannt. Um weiterhin ihren Beliebtheitsstatus zu behalten, lassen sie die Schule weiterhin in dem Glauben und tun so, als seien die beiden ein Paar. Das läuft soweit ganz gut ... bis Karma sich in Liam Booker verliebt. Von da an ist das Leben der beiden Freundinnen von Geheimnissen, Liebeserklärung und Streitereien geplagt.
